May be you guys will never think about gamer portfolio, may be you guys think it odd. But i would like to tell you that a gamer can have a portfolio. Normally a gamer spent his 4-5 precious years in playing games. Its just like a 'Gamer Resume' LOL
So this design for the gamers only. I tried to make a portfolio for Gamersnot for designers only. The gamer who not only play games also write reviews for other games blogs. I also given the provision of GD (Games Discussion) through forums.
This design is a portfolio for gamers, not a gaming site, i repeat not a gaming site. Over and Out.

Credits:: Edited two header images in PS and scanned from purchased CDs & Logos from company Websites. Grass clicked by me and blue bg created in photoshop.
The thumbnail for this template looked great. After full-sizing the preview I instantly noticed several areas that beg for improvement.
First thing that stood out to me was the navigation. The font choice is very sharp and it doesn't really contrast well with the background. The 'selected' state on the home is slightly hard to read...and readability should be 100% perfect in my book.
The logo is pretty dark basic for the details presented in the rest of the layout. If you are going for simplicity, don't just add an inner shadow and consider it finished. Simplicity is subtle details that aren't directly obvious, but impact the overall design in a good way. A very faint drop shadow set to a 1-3px hard offset is an example of what I mean.
The footer is nice and works. The shadow running horizontally throws me off because there is no separation. Is the shadow representing the template content boxes above it, or the logos hovering in mid air? If its the logos which I'm led to believe, there should be some slight realism in the area. Don't take the easy way out, soft separate shadows make the difference in quality.
Overall impact...it just doesn't say Game Developer to me. This template is more nature than anything. It may be a personal taste of the actual site owner but I feel a sites design should in some way speak its purpose with the design. This would make a fine portfolio or blog, but I don't think it represents anything 'Gamey'.
Finally, I want you to understand I'm not trying to be rude or arrogant in anyway. I wrote this critique with 100% honestly. Being honest is what helps us develop our skills in Design. I hope I gave you something you can work with. Good luck with your journey in Web Design
